An updated mod has reportedly run NVIDIA’s Ray Reconstruction on an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, with GameGPU citing a 60fps result in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p with path tracing enabled. It’s a notable bit of cross-vendor tinkering, not an official AMD or NVIDIA feature.
Why it mattersThe report says the mod, Neural Rendering Supermod 0.8.0, needs manual library changes and makes the game identify the card as NVIDIA hardware. Compatibility is not universal, so this is a demonstration rather than a plug-and-play upgrade. The useful question is whether the result holds up across more games and independent testing.
