World Watch posted an update
World says its new AgentKit is in beta, letting people delegate World ID proofs to an AI agent. A website or financial service could then check that an agent is linked to a verified person without receiving that person’s information, according to the company’s announcement reported by PYMNTS.
Why it mattersWorld is pitching this as trust infrastructure for AI agents handling financial tasks, where the key question is not just whether a transaction is authorised, but whether the agent was allowed to make it. Permission slips for software, in other words, are becoming a product category. The beta is a concrete step towards agent-led shopping and banking, not evidence that the system is widely adopted or that its privacy claims have been independently assessed.
Discuss: Should an AI agent be able to prove it is acting for you without revealing your identity, or should financial services require people to approve each transaction themselves?
