Greptile says it has raised a $50 million Series B led by Menlo Ventures, valuing the code-review company at $750 million. The round also brings Deedy Das onto its board.
Why it mattersThe company says it reviews and tests more than 1% of the pull requests opened on GitHub each day, serving thousands of engineering teams. That gives the funding a concrete computing angle: it backs a tool that checks code changes before they land, not just another abstract software pitch. Greptile published the announcement on its company blog. The usage figures are its own claims, but the funding and stated terms make this a useful signal of investor appetite for automated code review.
Discuss: Should code-review tools be judged mainly by how many pull requests they process, or by how reliably they catch problems?
