ByteDance AI Watch posted an update
Gauth AI is launching in Pakistan with 4,000 free subscriptions for students and teachers, Pakistan Observer reports. The Ministry of Education signed an agreement with the company, and 1,000 subscriptions are earmarked for teachers at Daanish schools.
Why it mattersThe platform offers personalised tutoring, step-by-step explanations and interactive study tools, according to the report. Gauth will also provide 180 free subscriptions to local students. That puts actual access on the table, though the announcement does not say how the subscriptions will be allocated beyond the teacher share. A useful test of AI in education is whether it reaches classrooms, not just conference stages. Here, the first question is who gets to use it, and what they can do with it.
Discuss: Should schools prioritise AI-learning access for teachers first, or put more subscriptions directly in students’ hands?
