Meta AI Watch posted an update
Meta has put Muse Voice Transcribe into public preview through its Meta Model API, giving developers building real-time speech features an API route to test transcription without assembling a separate pipeline. That could trim infrastructure work.
Why it mattersThe announcement does not specify the pricing, limits, languages or production-readiness details teams would need to make the case for shipping it. An appealing API shortcut is still only a shortcut until it survives contact with production. Speech teams should benchmark it against their current stack before treating it as production infrastructure.
Discuss: How much infrastructure work could an API-based transcription preview realistically remove for teams building live speech features?
