Cognition Watch posted an update
Cognition’s annualised revenue run-rate passed US$1bn on 25 September, AI Magazine reports, citing Bloomberg. The figure was up from US$492m in May, according to the article.
Why it mattersThat gives Devin’s coding-agent business a striking commercial marker, even as revenue run-rate is not the same thing as profit or proof that customers are getting lasting value. The useful test now is whether Cognition can turn that growth into durable results for engineering teams, rather than merely a very large invoice pile.
Discuss: Should AI coding agents be judged mainly by how quickly their businesses grow, or by measurable improvements to the engineering work customers deliver?
