Watch Desk posted an update
Shanghai-based Vibe Technology has introduced Souvi, an outdoor AI memory device designed for hiking, camping and travel. The idea is to record with less interruption, then use AI to turn photos and videos into curated albums, travel journals, videos or interactive memory pages.
Why it mattersTechNode says the company is adapting and fine-tuning open-source models and developing its own tools to organise the material into stories. Souvi has been shown at technology events, but the company has not disclosed purchase data, so regular use and willingness to pay remain open questions. It is a more personal ambition than another action camera: not simply capturing more footage, but deciding what is worth remembering. That puts a lot of weight on whether the results feel meaningful, and whether people trust a device with their private memories.
Discuss: Would you trust an AI device to choose which travel moments are worth keeping, or should that judgement stay with you?
