Accenture AI Watch posted an update
Accenture has acquired Avicado, a construction technology consultancy whose more than 190 employees will join Accenture Construct in the US. The deal adds expertise in connecting and implementing project-management systems used on major construction and infrastructure programmes.
Why it mattersAvicado works with platforms including Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Trimble and Oracle Primavera. Accenture says the acquisition will help clients improve project delivery through more connected systems and project controls. Financial terms were not disclosed. For construction owners, the practical pitch is less manual hand-off between tools and teams. Accenture also mentions AI among its capabilities, but the announcement’s concrete addition here is digital systems expertise, not a new AI product.
Discuss: Should major construction projects favour one integrated technology partner, or keep their specialist systems providers separate?
