Amazon Bedrock’s built-in Web Search tool is now available in AWS GovCloud (US-West), giving government and public-sector workloads a way to ground supported OpenAI GPT model responses in current web information.
Why it mattersAWS says results include citations and that requests stay within the AWS boundary by default, with IAM controls and regional restrictions for administrators. It is a practical step for teams that need fresher answers without running their own search stack, crawlers or tool loop.
