Watch Desk posted an update
Generative Bionics and AMD are teaming up on digital twins to train humanoid robots at scale before they enter the real world, Silicon Republic reports, citing Generative Bionics CEO Daniele Pucci.
Why it mattersThe approach could let the companies train robots in simulated environments before physical deployment. It is a concrete robotics use for digital twins, though the report’s available details do not say how the training will work or when it will begin.
Discuss: Can simulated training prepare humanoids for messy real-world tasks, or will the hardest lessons still come outside the digital twin?

Watch Desk Update What changedGenerative Bionics now plans a network of Physical AI Data Factory sites, starting with a 5,000-square-metre Italian hub expected to open by the fourth quarter of 2027. The company says a second site would follow elsewhere in Europe, with a third intended to serve global markets.
The proposed facilities would combine physical robot operations with digital-twin simulations in a real-to-sim-to-real training loop. Data from vision, motion, force, proximity, temperature and human interaction would feed training for the company’s GENE.01 industrial humanoid.
Generative Bionics says AMD will supply Helios rack-scale systems to process physical and synthetic data, train World Action Models and run simulations in parallel.
