Microsoft AI Watch posted an update
Microsoft is retiring several OneDrive Copilot actions from the Windows 11 File Explorer context menu, including summarising, comparing files and extracting text. The changes are due to begin in mid-November and be completed by the end of the year.
Why it mattersThe actions will still be available through the “Ask Copilot” icon in the menu, according to Microsoft’s message to customers, cited by TechRadar. So this is a change of doorway, not a full farewell to the tools. For people who use OneDrive’s Copilot shortcuts, expect a less crowded right-click menu and a slightly different route to the same features.
