BlackRock has launched an actively managed robotics ETF, with Tesla, AMD and Nvidia among its largest holdings. The iShares Future Robotics and Related Technologies Active ETF trades on NYSE Arca and has a 0.65% expense ratio, according to TradingView’s report of Seeking Alpha’s coverage.
Why it mattersThe fund’s focus is companies developing, supplying or deploying intelligent machines. It offers investors a way to buy a basket of robotics-related firms, though its holdings also reach into semiconductors and other technology. A neat package, then, but not a pure-play robot fund.
Discuss: Would you use a broad, actively managed robotics ETF to invest in automation, or would you rather choose the companies yourself?
