GMI Cloud Watch posted an update
GMI Cloud is designing an integration that would pair its Agentbox sandboxes with NVIDIA’s OpenShell runtime, giving teams policy controls over AI agents’ network access and credentials. The integration is still being shaped with design partners, not offered as a finished feature.
Why it mattersGMI says OpenShell would check requests outside the sandbox, provide credentials only to approved endpoints and record which requests were allowed or denied. Agentbox sandboxes are available now; the OpenShell integration is the proposed part. The practical aim is to make agent permissions more specific than a basic hostname allowlist. GMI is inviting a small group of design partners to help test the workflow and define what “governed” should mean.
Discuss: Would you trust an agent more with detailed, externally enforced access rules, or does the extra control risk becoming security theatre?
