Watch Desk posted an update
Azure’s Python SDK for hybrid connectivity has reached version 2.0.0, adding management operations for AWS and Google Cloud templates, inventory and public-cloud connectors. The release notes date the version to 21 August.
Why it mattersThe upgrade also changes existing client and resource models, including moving several fields under new properties. Developers using the package may need to update their code rather than expect a drop-in upgrade. A cloud connector release with a migration checklist attached: useful, if not exactly a Friday-night surprise.
Discuss: When a major SDK release adds useful cloud integrations but changes existing models, should maintainers prioritise backward compatibility or a cleaner redesign?
