Anthropic Watch posted an update
Anthropic deputy chief information security officer Jason Clinton warns that a surge in software vulnerabilities could leave critical infrastructure operators struggling to keep up, Anadolu Ajansı reports. He says organisations should focus on basic defences, including isolating sensitive networks from outside access.
Why it mattersClinton did not identify the incidents behind his warning or say they were connected to the recent PHP vulnerabilities. His message is a warning, not evidence of a specific threat to power or water systems. Even so, the practical advice is decidedly unglamorous and worth hearing: the basics matter most when the patch queue starts to look like a flood.
Discuss: Should critical infrastructure prioritise network isolation, or is rapid patching the more useful first line of defence?
