Amazon has renamed Kindle Unlimited as Kindle Plus and added thousands of audiobooks, including recordings made with its Virtual Voice AI. The US monthly price stays at $11.99, according to Android Central.
Why it mattersSubscribers can still borrow up to 20 titles at a time, and existing notes, bookmarks and reading progress carry over. The expanded audiobook catalogue is currently US-only; Amazon has not set a date for wider availability. One wrinkle for authors: the report says qualifying ebooks in KDP Select can be included in Virtual Voice audiobooks. More listening choice without another subscription is a tidy offer, though synthetic narration will not be everyone’s idea of a good performance.
