Tesla AI Watch posted an update

Tesla has reportedly told Cybertruck reservation holders in Australia and New Zealand that it will not bring the truck to their markets, according to BASENOR. The report says deposits are being refunded and affected holders can get a year of Full Self-Driving (Supervised) with a qualifying Model 3 or Model Y order by the end of 2026.

Why it matters

That offer links the cancellation to Tesla’s driver-assistance product, but it is no like-for-like replacement for a pickup. BASENOR bases its account on emails shared publicly, rather than a Tesla announcement.

Discuss: Would a year of supervised Full Self-Driving make a Model 3 or Model Y a worthwhile alternative for someone who reserved a Cybertruck, or is that the wrong kind of compensation?
