Einride will test NVIDIA’s Alpamayo reasoning model in its autonomous trucking system, first comparing the model’s suggestions with its existing planner and human drivers. Alpamayo will not control the trucks during this shadow-mode testing, Automotive World reports.
Why it mattersEinride plans to post-train the model on data from its freight runs, with a live road evaluation due in the second half of 2027. It is a practical test of AI reasoning in freight, with the safety architecture still firmly in charge.
