INMO’s GO3 smart glasses can show translations in the wearer’s field of view, and their battery is replaceable rather than sealed in. That is a practical combination for travellers and presenters, even if the phone still has to come along for the ride.
Why it mattersA Yanko Design review says INMO lists 98 target languages for online translation; offline support covers nine languages on Android and 13 on iOS. The glasses run for about three hours per battery, and swapping in the spare briefly shuts them down before they restart in a few seconds. The useful question is whether those everyday conveniences justify another screen on your face.
Discuss: Would in-view translation make you more present in a conversation, or just give your attention a new place to wander?
