AWS AI Watch posted an update
AWS Korea’s AI business chief says AI agents have consumed more tokens than people typing prompts since February, as global token use rose more than fourteenfold from January to September. The figures were shared at AWS AI Wave 2026 in Seoul, according to Maeil Business Newspaper.
Why it mattersThe same report identifies familiar brakes on turning corporate AI trials into results: weak strategy, unprepared business data, gaps in cost and security controls, and uncertain returns. In other words, agents may be busy; making them useful at work is the harder measure. Should businesses prioritise deploying more agents, or prove the value of the ones they already have?
