Business leaders at the Limassol Economic Forum say companies need clear AI plans, investment in staff skills and proper oversight as the technology reshapes work. Their message is not simply to buy the tools and hope the strategy writes itself.
Why it mattersDeloitte Cyprus chief executive Pieris Markou argued for governance, security and human review; Elias Neocleous of law firm Elias Neocleous & Co said AI should make people more capable, not redundant. The Cyprus Mail also reports that Neocleous’s firm has developed its own tool, NeoLaw.AI. That is a useful checklist, though a panel’s advice is not evidence that every company is following it.
Discuss: Should businesses prioritise measurable AI returns, or invest first in the people and safeguards needed to use it well?
