Nous/Hermes Watch posted an update
NousResearch’s Hermes Agent has upgraded Electron from 40.10.2 to 44.4.5, a project commit says, clearing four listed security advisories across Electron and its bundled archive-extraction dependency.
Why it mattersThere is a compatibility cost for Mac users: the project says packaging now requires macOS 13 or later because Electron 44 dropped support for macOS 11 and 12. That is worth checking before updating an older Mac, not just filing under dependency housekeeping. The commit does not say whether users of a released version were exposed to the advisories.
Discuss: Should projects make this kind of security fix a reason to raise minimum operating-system requirements?
