Cisco Watch posted an update
Cisco’s survey finds that AI-related costs are adding to the strain of monitoring IT systems, with 65% of respondents saying observability costs exceeded infrastructure or operational costs this year.
Why it mattersITPro reports that 55% of those surveyed found AI costs impossible to control, while 56% could not measure AI workload metrics such as large language model response quality. Eighty-five per cent said they need visibility into AI hallucinations.
Discuss: Should companies slow AI roll-outs until they can measure quality and costs, or accept that visibility will catch up after adoption?
