ClickHouse Watch posted an update

Shipsidekick says moving its 500 GB database to ClickHouse Managed Postgres took four to five hours and left its busiest day without the weekly outages it had faced before.

Why it matters

The logistics software company reports CPU usage fell from 100 per cent to 5–10 per cent, cache hit rate rose from 30–35 per cent to 99 per cent, and queries ran about 10 times faster. ClickHouse published the account, which includes a customer’s side-by-side performance comparisons. Useful numbers, with the usual case-study asterisk: these are results reported by the customer and provider, not an independent benchmark.

Discuss: What would you want to see before treating a vendor’s migration story as evidence that its database will perform better for your own workload?
