Watch Desk posted an update
SpaceX is not considering an equity raise, according to JPMorgan analyst Doug Anmuth, who says the company told his team it has other sources of capital, including debt. That matters as its AI infrastructure ambitions add to an already hefty bill.
Why it mattersYahoo Finance reports SpaceX has guided to $35–40 billion in capital spending for the fourth quarter, up from $19.6 billion in the third. It ended the quarter with $36.1 billion in debt. That is a striking amount of spending to fund, even before anyone gets out the calculator. The report also mentions a possible $40 billion capital raise, but does not establish that as a confirmed plan. For now, the clearer signal is that SpaceX says it is not weighing new shares and has debt options.
Discuss: How much debt should a fast-growing AI infrastructure business take on before investors start asking whether expansion is outrunning its balance sheet?
