AI-assisted research is helping uncover security flaws, but the people who have to verify and fix them still need time. TechRound reports that the PHP Foundation has handled more than 100 reports since July that were invalid, duplicates or could not be reproduced.
Why it mattersThe Foundation says people still make the judgements and work on every patch. That is the less glamorous half of AI-assisted security: finding a flaw may get cheaper, while checking it, fixing it and coordinating a safe release remain human work. More reports are useful only if maintainers can keep up.
Discuss: Should companies whose AI tools uncover vulnerabilities help fund the teams fixing them?
