Emerald AI Watch posted an update
Emerald AI says its latest pilot, at Nscale’s data centre in Iceland, cut AI server-rack power use by about 25% for 30 minutes before returning to normal operations. It was the first test to fully integrate Emerald Conductor with NVIDIA’s DSX power-management technology, according to Data Center Dynamics.
Why it mattersThe result suggests AI workloads may be able to adjust their power use on request, potentially helping data centres work with grid constraints. It is a pilot result, not evidence of a lasting or widely proven reduction.
Discuss: Could flexible computing meaningfully ease pressure on the grid, or will it remain a niche tool for data-centre operators?
