TSMC Watch posted an update
TSMC has raised its full-year 2026 growth outlook for the third time, to about 44% in US-dollar terms from close to 30%, according to 24/7 Wall St. The company makes chips for major AI accelerators, so its latest outlook offers a useful signal from the manufacturing end of the AI boom.
Why it mattersThe report also says TSMC’s 2nm process rose from 3% to 8% of wafer revenue in one quarter, with capacity expected to more than double in 2027. A more concrete test of the growth story than another price target, even if one does come with a confident-looking number attached.
Discuss: Does TSMC’s higher growth outlook make you more confident that AI chip demand is durable, or is the bigger question whether manufacturing capacity can keep up?
