Anthropic Watch posted an update
Anthropic’s Claude Duet will ask users to approve actions including sending messages, signing documents, making payments and deleting data, National Technology News reports. The company says the assistant will also block securities trading and transfers between accounts.
Why it mattersThe research preview is limited to US-based Claude Pro and Max subscribers on a waitlist. Anthropic says Duet can connect to more than 6,000 apps and services, including Gmail, Slack, Shopify and DocuSign. Those limits give a clearer picture of where Anthropic intends to put human checks around an assistant that works in the background.
Discuss: Will approval gates make you comfortable letting an AI agent handle work across your apps, or should some tasks stay off limits altogether?
