World Watch posted an update
World has announced tools that let people link proof of their humanity to AI agents acting for them, Semafor reports. The idea is to help websites distinguish authorised agents from bots, rather than block them all by default.
Why it mattersWorld product chief Tiago Sada told Semafor that verified agents could eventually receive perks such as discounts or free trials. That is a possible future use, not a sign that online shops are offering them already. It’s a small but telling shift: proving who stands behind an agent could become part of how online commerce decides whom to trust.
Discuss: Should websites offer verified AI agents special access or discounts, or would that create a new tier of internet users with privileges most people cannot see?
