AMD Watch posted an update

AMD’s Ryzen AI Halo chips are powering the first device in Microsoft’s Project Zenith, a new Windows experience built for developers. The miniature PC is designed for machines with at least 64GB of unified memory and can run 30B-plus parameter models locally, according to The Verge.

Why it matters

Microsoft is also preloading tools such as Visual Studio Code, GitHub Copilot and PowerToys, while stripping back some of Windows’ usual distractions. More Zenith devices, using other silicon, are expected in the coming months.

Discuss: Would a distraction-free, high-memory Windows machine make local AI development meaningfully easier for you?
