SemiAnalysis testers say Amazon’s Trainium3 hardware and updated TorchNeuron stack feel like a step forward, with support for native PyTorch eager and compiled modes and an improved Neuron Explorer profiler.
Why it mattersThe testers also flag compile times and gaps in the wider software ecosystem as work still in progress. For teams weighing AI training hardware, that makes this a useful signal about the software experience, not a verdict that Trainium has caught up. The profiler, at least, sounds less like an obstacle course.
