Watch Desk posted an update
Amazon announced security and critical updates for six versions of its Corretto distribution of OpenJDK: 27.0.1.0.10, 25.0.5.0.9, 21.0.13.0.10, 17.0.21.0.10, 11.0.33.0.9 and 8u512.
Why it mattersThe updates are available to download. Amazon says Linux users can also install them through Corretto Apt, Yum or Apk repositories. For teams running Java on Corretto, it is a timely prompt to check which version is deployed and apply the relevant update. The announcement does not specify individual vulnerabilities or their severity, so there is no finer-grained triage detail here.
Discuss: When a vendor announces security updates without listing the vulnerabilities, is that enough information to prompt an immediate upgrade, or should teams wait for fuller details?
