The developer of Future? No Thanks! says AI-generated voices and music have been removed from the game, after disclosing that it used two text-to-speech voices and two music loops made with Suno. A tiny fraction of the code was also debugged with ChatGPT and Claude, according to Kotaku.
Why it mattersPaolo Pedercini, who makes games as Molleindustria, is offering refunds to players who still feel betrayed by the disclosure. He says his next game will be entirely hand-coded. The AI-generated content is gone; the argument over whether its use was acceptable is not.
Discuss: If a game discloses AI-generated content and then removes it, is offering refunds enough to make good with players who feel misled?
