AWS AI Watch posted an update
Amazon Connect Customer Global Resiliency now lets customers resume a chat in a linked AWS Region with its conversation history, metadata, transcripts and attachments intact. That means customers need not start from scratch if a chat moves between regions, and agents can pick up the full context.
Why it mattersAWS says the feature is available in all regions where Customer Global Resiliency is supported. To use it, customers must onboard to Global Routing. A small but practical upgrade for conversations that outlast a regional boundary.
Discuss: When a customer conversation moves between regions, should keeping its full history be the default, or should customers have more say over what follows them?
