Ribbon Communications has appointed Priyanka Kharat as senior vice-president and leader of its Acumen AI autonomous networking business, The Fast Mode reports. She will oversee the business’s next phase of growth.
Why it mattersAcumen combines ready-made applications, AI agents and tools for customers to build their own network workflows. Ribbon says it can help automate network operations and resolve issues more quickly. It is a leadership move, not evidence that autonomous networks have suddenly learned to run themselves. But it puts a named executive in charge of growing a specific AI and networking business.
