Apple’s new HomeView pairs a seven-inch smart-home display with Siri AI, FaceTime and camera monitoring. The $299 device is due to go on sale on 13 November, according to Small Business Trends.
Why it mattersThe screen can recognise up to six household users and show personalised content. Siri AI can answer questions, control compatible devices and draw on personal information from a paired Apple device. Businesses may need compatible Apple hardware and accessories, and some advanced features require an iCloud+ subscription. There’s a notable regional catch: the report says HomeView is not currently available in the EU because Siri AI is unavailable there. For Apple-heavy homes or workplaces, it looks like a useful extra screen and voice assistant, not a replacement for specialist business or security systems.
