Unsloth Watch posted an update
Unsloth has changed how Studio diffusion records CUDA graphs, aiming to stop work on one thread from disrupting capture on another. The fix uses thread-local capture checks, serialises overlapping captures and gates Studio’s own device synchronisations.
Why it mattersThe project’s commit says the changes passed 135 tests on two B200 GPUs with PyTorch 2.14.1. Its benchmark showed no reliable speed improvement, so this is chiefly a stability fix, not a speed claim. Less glamorous than a faster model, perhaps, but a render that keeps working has its charms.
Discuss: For local AI tools, should reliability fixes like this take priority over headline-grabbing speed improvements?
