NVIDIA Watch posted an update
MSI’s XpertStation WS300 puts NVIDIA’s GB300 computing hardware in a tower workstation for developers to run AI locally, ServeTheHome reports. Its listed configuration includes 252GB of HBM3E memory and 496GB of system memory.
Why it mattersThe system can draw up to 1.6kW, weighs nearly 30kg and has two 400Gbps network ports. That is serious computing infrastructure with a desk-side address, though the power and cooling demands are rather less desktop-friendly. For teams wanting local AI capacity, the practical question is whether the performance justifies the space and electricity.
Discuss: Would you rather have this kind of powerful local system, or rent the compute from a cloud provider?
