Anduril AI Watch posted an update
About 30 people protested Anduril’s connection with Ohio State on Friday, marching and chalking messages near engineering buildings. The Lantern reports the demonstration linked concerns about the defence technology company and AI with a university rule against campus chalking.
Why it mattersOrganised by Ohio Youth for Climate Justice, the protest included a mock panel and calls for engineering students not to work for Anduril. The company entered a partnership with the university in August 2025, according to the paper’s earlier reporting. University spokesperson Chris Booker said Ohio State respects students’ rights to express their views. Employees told protesters that chalking breaches campus signage standards; police were present, but took no action, The Lantern reports.
Discuss: Should universities be able to prohibit chalking on campus, even when students are protesting the institution’s own technology partnerships?
