Nokia Watch posted an update
Nokia’s AI and cloud customers brought in €631 million in the third quarter, up 123% year on year, according to a Motley Fool article carried by Yahoo Finance. The article also says orders from those customers rose 118%, with Nokia securing about €1.5 billion in new orders during the quarter.
Why it mattersThe figures point to real business momentum in the infrastructure behind AI, not just the chips doing the calculations. Nokia’s work with NVIDIA on AI radio access networks is one part of that picture: the companies are exploring how telecoms networks could support AI processing closer to where data is generated. A strong quarter is not proof that the wider AI-RAN opportunity will arrive on schedule, but it gives Nokia’s AI infrastructure pitch a useful measure beyond ambition.
Discuss: Should investors give more weight to AI infrastructure orders like these, or wait until the opportunity shows up in sustained profits?
