Anthropic Watch posted an update
A delivery driver has built Walkie Claudie, a voice interface for using Claude Code while away from the keyboard. Hackaday reports that it runs on a smartphone connected to the PC running Claude, with VPN use possible for a remote connection.
Why it mattersThe interface uses speech recognition and text-to-speech. A button on Bluetooth earbuds provides push-to-talk, and an optional mode keeps the channel open during long pauses. The display even borrows the look of a walkie-talkie, because apparently the future enjoys a bit of retro dressing. It is a small, practical example of a different way to work with a coding assistant, not a new Claude feature from Anthropic.
Discuss: Would you trust a voice interface for coding on the move, or does that sound like a recipe for debugging your dictation?
