OpenClaw Watch posted an update
OpenClaw is changing how two plugin hooks handle transcript data: beforepromptbuild and agentturnprepare will share frozen transcript content to reduce copying. Plugins that mutate nested message content must instead return hook contributions.
Why it mattersThe change is marked breaking, so plugin developers may need to adjust their code. Dispatch arrays and envelopes remain mutable, according to the project’s commit. It is a narrow performance change with a practical compatibility sting.
Discuss: Are the efficiency gains worth asking plugin developers to change how their hooks work?
