Uzbekistan and South Korea are exploring cooperation on AI, digital government and technology training after an Uzbek delegation’s visit to South Korea, Trend.Az reports. Uzbekistan presented plans for an Artificial Intelligence Institute and a research centre at New Uzbekistan University.
Why it mattersThe delegation also discussed a national data platform and creating datasets for AI training with South Korea’s National Information Society Agency. The parties agreed to continue exchanging expertise, including through online seminars. These are plans and areas of discussion, not a confirmed institute launch or a completed data platform.
Discuss: Should international AI partnerships prioritise training and research capacity, or the data infrastructure that makes AI development possible?
