Forkast says three anticipated AI releases are clustered between 28 and 31 October, but none has a confirmed vendor announcement. The dates are estimates, not a launch schedule, which matters to teams planning migrations, pricing changes or benchmarks.
Why it mattersThe report puts OpenAI’s estimated date at about 29 October after two slips, and Anthropic’s at about 28 October. Mistral’s Hugging Face page gives an estimated 31 October release, with a countdown and a warning that the date may change; Forkast says the weights and commercial licence were still unpublished when it checked on 24 October. That is a useful calendar alert, not a reason to book the deployment window just yet. How much planning should teams do around a vendor’s estimate before it becomes a commitment?
Discuss: Should teams plan around these estimated release dates, or wait for vendors to put a firm commitment on the record?
