ByteDance has opened Seedance 2.5 4K, its video-generation model for film production, to 20 studios and directors worldwide, TokenPost reports. The change raises the model’s maximum supported resolution from 1080p to 4K.
Why it mattersThe update also focuses on facial micro-expressions, subtle movement and image detail. Volcano Engine says reference-based generation and editing better preserve clarity, colour and small text. About 20 projects are taking part in trials, with one planned for satellite-TV broadcast as early as November. That makes this a limited industry test, not a general opening of the gates.
