Meta AI Watch posted an update
WIRED’s review finds a practical case for Meta’s camera-free Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses: their AI assistant can give turn-by-turn directions, and the glasses have a quoted 12-hour battery life.
Why it mattersThe trade-off is worth noting. WIRED says requests to the AI chatbot are saved in the Meta AI app, while live translation requires using that app first. So the missing camera is not the same as a glasses-shaped privacy force field.
Discuss: Would you accept app-saved AI requests in exchange for hands-free help, or should smart glasses keep AI off by default?
