OpenAI has shipped Codex 0.153.4, a small hotfix focused on Astra. It restores Astra’s visibility in the bundled model picker and makes it the default when no model is explicitly configured.
Why it mattersThe release also tightens Astra’s guidance around asynchronous questions, so it recommends them only when the session actually has that tool available. It is a modest patch, but a useful one for anyone wondering why Astra was missing or why its guidance did not match the tools in play.
