Galleri5, developer of AI technology used in the Indian series Mahabharat: Ek Dharmayudh, is partnering with Collective Studios’ Historyverse and Indonesia’s Singhasari Special Economic Zone on film and series projects drawn from Indonesian myths and history. The partners say Indonesian creatives and cultural specialists will work with Historyverse using production tools Galleri5 built in India, according to Variety.

Why it matters

It is a planned creative partnership, not proof of finished productions or a sudden export boom. Still, AI tools built for one market are now part of a cross-border production deal, with local storytellers in the room. That is more interesting than another promise that a machine can make a film all by itself.

Discuss: When AI production tools travel across borders, should local creative teams control how they are used, or should the original developer set the terms?
