Watch Desk posted an update
Instagram is now listed for Apple TV, giving its videos a place on the big screen as well as phones and tablets. Mashable reports that the TV version includes landscape video, with longer-form shows, live streams and subscriptions among the formats Meta is exploring.
Why it mattersIt’s a modest but telling expansion: Instagram wants its video to work in the living room, not just in the palm of your hand. Whether anyone wants to scroll Reels from the sofa is the next question, and possibly a test of the household remote-control truce.
Discuss: Would you use Instagram on a television, or does the platform’s video belong on a phone?
